Meet your therapist

A bit about me:

I am a native Texan and love to fish, grow my own vegetables and fruits, read, and binge-watch a romance show. I also love traveling and spending time with my husband, my rescue dog named Sushi, and my formerly feral cat named Pork Bun.

My approach:

I take my therapeutic relationship with my clients very seriously. As someone who struggled with my own mental health at a younger age, I know how hard it is to open up to a stranger. I try my hardest to create a judgement-free zone and meet my clients where they are at and provide a push when appropriate. Some topics are tough to handle. I like to incorporate some humor when appropriate as well.

My goal is to provide my clients with the tools to handle future mental health concerns on their own. This might entail identifying deeply rooted beliefs and thoughts that cause distress. The next step might including challenging or reframing those beliefs and thoughts. I also like to arm my clients with appropriate coping skills.

Credentials:

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (License #84723). I have masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Main Campus.
